Sultana (Farida Auduson Ibrahim): BBNaija Season 10 Finalist and Model
Farida Sultana Auduson Ibrahim, known on screen simply as Sultana, is a plus-size model, beautician and writer from Adamawa State in northern Nigeria. She became widely known as one of the original housemates of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 10, nicknamed “10/10”, where she lasted all ten weeks and left at the grand finale in fourth place. This profile sticks to what the show, news outlets and her own public statements document, and it flags the details that cannot be confirmed.

Who is Sultana?
Sultana presented herself on the show as a confident, fashion-forward woman from Northern Nigeria who wanted to represent the region on a national stage. On the official Africa Magic housemate profile she describes herself as eccentric, fun to be around and eager to learn from people from different backgrounds. She says she wanted to use the show to test her mental and physical strength and to tell her story.
Her work before the show is summarised in several outlets as plus-size modelling and beauty services. A report on her in-house conversations says she studied Mass Communication at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and has advocated for self-love and for challenging stereotypes about curvy women (Soft Nigeria). That degree appears in only one source I could open, so it is treated as reported rather than confirmed.
Her time in the BBNaija “10/10” house
BBNaija Season 10 premiered on 26 July 2025 and ran for ten weeks. According to the season summary on Wikipedia, Sultana was one of the housemates who entered on the opening night, together with Imisi and Dede, and she remained until day 70. Imisi won the season, Dede was runner-up and Koyin finished third. Sultana’s fourth place meant she was the last of the finalists to leave before the closing votes were counted. Channels Television reported that she, Kola and Koyin were evicted on finale night, leaving Imisi and Dede in the final two for the ₦150 million prize package.
Her exit drew debate online. Legit.ng collected social media reactions, including some from viewers who questioned whether voters in Northern Nigeria had backed her. Those are opinions of online commenters, not evidence of any voting pattern, and the show does not publish regional vote breakdowns.
The disqualification incident
During the season, a physical altercation between Sultana and fellow housemate Faith led to Faith being disqualified, according to Legit.ng. Asked about it after the show, Sultana said housemates had expected some form of punishment whenever something serious happened in the house. We have not seen the show’s own written ruling, so this article repeats only that the incident occurred and that Faith left the show as a result.
Relationships on the show
Pulse Nigeria’s housemate profile of Koyin notes that he and Sultana shared a kiss in the house and joked about getting each other’s names tattooed. These were on-screen moments. Neither housemate has confirmed a relationship outside the show in any source we checked, and Koyin has since described his show romances as entertainment (see our Koyin profile).
What she has said about her background
Two of Sultana’s in-house conversations were widely reported and are summarised here only in her own words.
- Faith and upbringing. In a conversation with housemates Zita and Big Soso, she said she grew up going to both church and mosque, with a Christian mother, and was once baptised Catholic with the name Josephine before deciding to practise Islam because it worked best for her (TheCable Lifestyle).
- Early marriage. On 1 September 2025 she told fellow housemate Jason Jae that she had been married off at about 15, that it was not something she wanted, and that she got out of it. She said she is now a mother of two girls and that she chose to “get up to change the narrative” for herself and her children (Soft Nigeria; Legit.ng). Her daughters’ names and ages are not given here.
These statements are first-person accounts made on a reality show. They are reported accurately by the outlets above, but there is no independent documentation, and her family’s version, where it exists, has not been published.
After the show
Once she left the house, Sultana became known for her wardrobe choices. BellaNaija published a feature on her post-show looks in October 2025, and her turbans and scarves had become a signature during the show.
In exit interviews reported by Legit.ng, she said: “I plan to build a school where I share my knowledge and plans. I am open to explore.” There is no public record we could find showing that a school has been built or registered.
Ranks Magazine reports that in 2026 she launched a scarves-and-turbans label called Sultana Auduson, made with Egyptian cotton blends, and that she founded the Sultana Haven Foundation for women’s mental health and community outreach. The same piece describes a traditional title, HRH Chief Sultana Auduson OROHU I of Yala Land. That article reads like a brand-supplied profile and is the only source for these claims, so treat them as her own announcements rather than independently verified facts.
Acting
Trade coverage by Nollywood Spotlight in September 2026 says Sultana appears, credited as Sultana Auduson, as a character named Vanessa in the film Man of My Dream, which premiered on Sonia Uche TV on 2 September 2026. It is the only screen credit we could confirm for her.
How to read profiles of reality-show contestants
Reality-television biographies online are often copied from one another, and small errors spread quickly: ages are rounded, hometowns shift, and a single quote becomes a “fact”. Official housemate profiles from the broadcaster, reporting from news outlets and the contestant’s own statements are the strongest sources. Fan wikis and aggregator sites repeat them without checking. For Sultana, the broadcaster’s profile gives her name and state but not a verified date of birth, which is why her age is shown as a range above.
What we could not verify
- Her date of birth and exact age (25 per BBNaija fan site and Soft Nigeria, 26 per Wikipedia and Pulse).
- Her university degree, which is reported by one outlet.
- The launch date, size and registration of the Sultana Auduson brand and the Sultana Haven Foundation (Ranks Magazine only).
- The traditional title reported in 2026, which has no second source.
- Whether the planned school exists.
- Earnings, endorsements and net worth: no reputable figure is published, so none is given.
- The details of her family, including her parents’ names, which are not confirmed in any source we trust.
