CAREER AND RISE TO FAME
Eric was a football player first, after which he pivoted to coaching. He was deployed primarily as a central defender. Eric began his playing career with FC Martigues, where he spent several years before featuring for the likes of RC Lens, Istres, and Chamois Niortais before his retirement.
