EARLY LIFE AND FAMILY
Ademola Lookman was born on the 20th of October 1997 in Wandsworth, Greater London, to Nigerian parents of Yoruba origin. Lookman grew up in Peckham, located in South London, where he developed a firm passion for football, watching and playing from an early age.
Lookman joined the youth team at Waterloo FC before getting noticed by scouts from Charlton Athletic, eventually earning a place in their academy.
CAREER AND RISE TO FAME
Lookman made his first senior appearance with Charlton Athletic in 2015, impressing fans and pundits with his directness, explosive pace, and goal threat. His performances earned him a move to Everton in the English Premier League in 2017. After mixed success at Everton, he went on loan to RB Leipzig, where he scored five goals in 11 appearances and began to attract greater attention across Europe.
